Veteran songwriter Steve Nelson has enjoyed an eclectic and award-winning career along the road from New York to Los Angeles to Nashville. Bringing his unique and carefully honed craft to many of the top performers, he's written songs for everyone from Barbra Streisand to Guy Clark, Dusty Springfield to Paul Anka, Big Bird to Winnie-the-Pooh. His TV credits also include Disney's Darkwing Duck, ABC's Webster, PBS's Sesame Street (for which he received an Emmy Nomination), as well as the songs and score for written for the Emmy Winning The New Adventures Of Winnie-the-Pooh (Disney-ABC). 

Steve began making his own CDs in 2003 with "Listen What The Katmandu", followed by "Distance Over Time" (2006), "Stoneway Close" (2009) and his soon to be released “Songs From Along The Way” (2020).You can hear the influences he's honored throughout his career: from Woody Guthrie and The Weavers, to the Beatles and Paul Simon, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Joni Mitchell, James Taylor  and Randy Newman. 

Steve now makes his home in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
